Smart, watchful, and fiercely devoted to her family, with a gentle side our children know well.
Meet Valkyrie.
Valkyrie brings together several qualities I expect from a Corso: intelligence, loyalty, and a strong instinct to watch over her family. She is alert to what is happening around her and takes her people seriously.
Our family also knows her affectionate side. One memory that stays with us is of her crawling over to our youngest in the grass and gently resting her head against him. That quiet closeness is as much a part of Valkyrie as her strength and guardian character.
She is a gray-brindle female with a clear presence of her own. When I talk about the importance of our females, I am thinking about dogs like her: the character we live with every day and the qualities we want to preserve in the program.
